Objective

  • To develop and provide effective management / utilisation of information technology as a source of input for the Ministry in formulating policies and strategies to improve the quality of life and the socio-economic status of rural residents.
  • To evaluate and report ICT development projects of the Ministry and the agencies under the Ministry.
  • To inculcate the use of ICT among the staff of KKLW and its agencies towards improving operational and management efficiency and effectiveness

Function

APPLICATION SYSTEM AND GIS BRANCH

SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT I 

  1. To plan, manage and coordinate the direction of the Ministry’s application system.
  2. To conduct the user requirement study for each application system of the Ministry to be developed.
  3. To design and develop the database and user interface for each application system of the Ministry.
  4. To provide the Ministry’s application system prototype to be developed.
  5. To develop the Ministry’s application system program code.
  6. To implement the functional and user acceptance testing for the application system developed.
  7. To implement the access and security testing of the application system developed.
  8. To maintain and implement backup of the database and application system.
  9. To implement improvements of all existing application systems from time to time according to the demands and needs of the user.
  10. To plan, design, develop and implement mobile applications.
  11. To manage, supervise, coordinate and ensure all application systems of the Ministry and databases are always available and secure.
  12. To provide advisory services and technical assistance for the use of the Ministry’s application system.
  13. To manage and implement the system user and administrator training for each of the application system developed.
  14. To provide documentation for each of the application system developed.

SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT II

  1. To plan, manage and coordinate the direction of the Ministry’s application system.

ICT PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND MULTIMEDIA BRANCH

ICT PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  1. To maintain and provide advisory services to users of the system under the Electronic Government Project.
  2. To provide consultancy services and technical assistance related to the access and use of system
  3. To manage and coordinate the requirements and information of the Ministry and Agencies Public Sector Online Services application.
  4. To coordinate, administer and monitor the use of Social Media Applications.
  5. To plan, coordinate and manage the development of the Ministry’s ICT Strategic Plan (ISP).
  6. To coordinate and monitor the implementation of the Ministry’s ICT Strategic Plan (ISP).
  7. Secretariat of the Ministry’s ICT Strategic Plan (ISP).
  8. Secretariat of the ICT Technical Committee (JTI) and ICT Steering Committee (JPICT).
  9. To monitor and coordinate the implementation of the ICT project under the approval of JTI and JPICT.
  10. To coordinate and provide reports monitoring the implementation of ICT project under the approval of JTI and JPICT to MAMPU.
  11. To plan, manage and convene monitoring visits of ICT projects under the approval of JPICT.

MULTIMEDIA DEVELOPMENT & CORPORATE

  1. To coordinate, plan, design and develop the Multimedia Application.
  2. To coordinate, plan, design and develop montages and videos for programs of the Ministry.
  3. To develop montage and video prototypes.
  4. To design graphical user interface for the application system developed.
  5. To provide advice and technical assistance for the implementation of gimmicks opening ceremonies and programs of the Ministry.
  6. Develop, design, editing, graphic design, implement and coordinate the activities, functions and programs of the Ministry either digital or printed
  7. To provide the content, design, and to announce and implement ICT Info.
  8. To provide advice and technical assistance (multimedia) for the implementation of the opening ceremony gimmick / programs of the Ministry.
  9. To plan, coordinate and organize training / courses Creative Team ICT.
  10. Coordinate information and maintain an Integrated Information Management System Digital Display iBoard for Ministry.

ICT INFRASTRUCTURE BRANCH

PORTAL AND ASSET

  1. To plan, manage, coordinate requirements and procurement matters on ICT assets.
  2. Coordinate and ensure the transfer of ICT assets are managed systematically through the Assets Management System (SPA)
  3. To plan, manage, implement and monitor the disposal of ICT assets.
  4. To plan, manage, implement and coordinate the ICT technical training requirements.
  5. To plan, manage, develop and maintain the Ministry’s Official Portal.
  6. To plan, manage, develop and maintain the Ministry’s special Website. (KUD, RTC and RBC)
  7. To provide advisory services and technical assistance for the implementation of the Public Agencies Complaints Monitoring System (SISPAA).
  8. To plan, manage and coordinate the procurement of mobile equipment and lines.

OPERATIONS AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

  7. To plan, manage, coordinate the requirements of the Computer Lab and GIS Lab.

  1. To plan, manage, coordinate, maintain the Ministry’s computer network including at the State Branch Offices, RTC and Mini RTC.

  3. To plan, manage and administer all servers and databases.
  4. To plan, manage and carry out operations and monitoring of the Data Centre.
  5. To plan, manage, coordinate and monitor the operations and technical support services for computers at the State Branch Offices.
  6. To manage and coordinate the requirements of the network monitoring and integrated security system (MyGSOC)

  4. To plan, manage and coordinate operations of the Disaster Recovery Plan.
  5. To plan, manage, administer and implement measures to strengthen ICT security periodically through the Security Posture Assessment (SPA).
  6. To plan, manage and update the ICT Security Policy (DKICT) of KKLW.
  7. To plan and manage the ICT security enhancement programme through sharing of knowledge and latest technology.
  8. To plan, manage and implement the ICT security acculturation programme.
  9. Coordinator of the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) of KKLW.

ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT

  1. To monitor and manage attendance records of Division officers.
  2. To manage the service matters of officers.
  3. To manage room reservations and meeting refreshments as well as facilities for meeting needs.
  4. To report all the damages to officers/ building Manager as well as other complaints related to the office and assist in office security affairs.
  5. To manage and update Division files using the e-Surat System.
  6. Responsible for managing incoming and outgoing mail.
  7. To book airline tickets and ground transportation for officers on duty outside the office.
  8. To prepare and manage the annual budget of Divisions.
  9. To process Local Order (LO) applications of Divisions.
  10. To review travel claims, personal advances and requests for overtime claims of Division officers.
  11. To monitor and update ICT equipment rental charges and bills of Divisions.
  12. To organise the store and control the use of supplies and stocks.
  13. Responsible in matters of receipt and withdrawal of assets.
