TRAINING AND CAREER PROGRAM

CONCEPT

This programme provides for financial and management assistance for targeted group to enrol in skills training courses and MLVK Foundation Skills (SKM I and SKM II Malaysia Skills Certificate)

TARGET GROUP

The targeted group for this programme are the heads of hard core poor families, as well as those living under poverty and Group B40. Preference would be given to:

  • Endorsed as hard core poor and poor families and registered in the National Poverty Data Bank (e-Kasih); or
  • Considered and approved by the State Poverty Eradication Focus Group or District (FG); and
  • For certain cases that require an exemption from the above criteria must be referred to and approved by the ministry.

 

TYPE OF TRAINING

Courses offered encompasses the following fields:

  • Manufacturing and mechanical (mechanics, motoring technology, automotive technology and others)
  • Construction and engineering (welding technology, electrical wiring, heavy machinery operation and others)
  • Health and beauty (saloon and spa, hair dresser and others)
  • Tourism and hospitality (food preparation, bread and pastry and others)
  • New technology (oil and gas, aviation –ground handling and others

 

IMPLEMENTATION METHOD

Implementation of programmes are identified through the agencies as below:

  • State Development Office / Federal Development Department.
  • KKLW Agencies
  • Non-governmental Organisation (NGO) and public sector
  • Ministry / Other Agency
