The process of national development has undergone several changes from the development of agriculture in the beginning, followed by the industrial development and now the information technology. Information and communication technology (ICT) is an important area that must be mastered and endured so that we would not be left out, especially in achieving 2020 vision. The sixth challenge in 2020 vision is to establish a scientific and progressive society, a society with strong capacity for change and forward looking, which is not only a consumer of technology but also a contributor to scientific and technological civilization of the future. This challenge is also linked with the 9th challenge which is to create a prosperous society with a competitive, dynamic, robust and resilient economy. This is in line with the latest ICT developments which are all influenced by the concept of K- ,which is Knowledge that give new focus on information, technology and learning in specific areas such as economics: K-Economy, human capital development: K-Workers, and in the Management field : K-Management.
